Jennifer and Josh | West Orange NJ Wedding

December 28th, 2011

Let’s just start by saying that this wedding between Jennifer and Josh was originally scheduled for October 30th. If that date rings a bell in your mind, it is probably because it was the craziest weekend in Halloween history with a full blown snow storm in the middle of fall! Unfortunately, due to the amount of snow and circumstances surrounding the venue’s loss of power the night before, the wedding had to be rescheduled. Even more interesting is the fact that the mothers of the bride and groom had originally planned the entire event in the span of just a few months (and Jennifer made it clear to everyone – No, she’s not pregnant. They were just really excited about getting married!). So we can only imagine how much more work these moms had to do in order to pull it all off once again!

Nevertheless, everything turned out perfectly and without so much as a glitch! Even the unpredictable December weather cooperated and it turned out to be a mildly cool day with beautiful blue skies and a clear view of Manhattan over the river. Oh! Let’s not forget the awesome location of the venue, Highlawn Pavillion, set atop one of the highest points on the Eagle Rock Reservation. Breathtaking! We were absolutely thrilled to work with such a laid back couple and their wonderful families. A special thanks to MOB Jane, who worked with us every step of the way from the scheduling, rescheduling, planning and day of logistics. We couldn’t have planned it any better ourselves!

Christina + Mark | Engagement Session

November 18th, 2011

Oh, the lovely colors of fall. How we love you. Luckily Christina and Mark felt the same way since they so eagerly suggested shooting their engagement session at the beautiful Longwood Gardens! No matter what time of year it is, you really can’t go wrong with a place like this.

On yet another gorgeous October day, we leisurely strolled around the gardens with Mark and Christina. It only took these two about 30 seconds to get into the groove of things, happily holding hands, giggling, hugging, snuggling and kissing. The chemistry of love is such a wonderful thing, and when paired with warm sunshine and an array of colors, we really couldn’t ask for a better way to spend the day. Congratulations you two! We can’t wait to do it all over again next September!

Amy + Tony | Poconos Wedding

November 2nd, 2011

Amy and Tony are two of the most happy and loving couples we’ve had the pleasure to meet. We’ve come to know these two pretty well over the past year from working on their custom designed invitations and mini wine labels (detail picture below) to shooting their engagement session. They are enthusiastic, fun and always willing to get silly with us – and despite a typical chilly fall day, they were ready to rock and roll when it came to their wedding. They were rock stars during their intimate Bride and Groom portraits, and then proceeded to tear it up on the dance floor for their first dance. The entire day was incredibly fun and full of celebration with this amazing couple!

Their wedding and reception took place in the Poconos, which in late October is absolutely AMAZING! When we were driving on the back roads on the way to scout out their reception site at Woodloch Pines, we were “ooo-ing” and “aaah-ing” over all the pretty colors of the trees and were really excited to be able to work with such vibrant colors. As you’ll see we scouted out the locations specifically to incorporate the different color palettes Autumn had to offer this year.

Belles Family Portraits | Pennsylvania Family Photography

October 30th, 2011

After many scheduling conflicts, bad weather and a lot of planning, we finally had the opportunity to work with the Belles family for their family portrait session! On a beautiful warm fall day we went out to a local park near their family home and got some great shots of everyone playing and interacting together. You wouldn’t even know that the girls played their little hearts out the day before for a birthday party celebration! Needless to say it was a weekend full of fun activities for the kiddies. We hope to see more of them in the future and watch this wonderful family grow.

Pierno Custom-Designed Invitations

October 28th, 2011

Last December, we had the pleasure of meeting with Amy over dinner and drinks at a traditional Irish Pub in mid-town Manhattan. From the beginning we clicked instantly and new it was the start of a wonderful client relationship. Amy told us the story of how her and her fiancé Tony met and many of their life’s journeys. This gave us some great insight on their chemistry and got us really excited for their engagement session, which was shot this past spring in the city!

When it came to the details for the “day-of”, Amy had a clear vision for her classic, yet whimsical autumn wedding and wanted everything to fit perfectly. Luckily, Nicole understood this vision and was thrilled to work with her on making this vision come to life – starting with their invitation suite. Below are some shots of their completed invitation suite. The next and last design element we worked with them on were mini wine labels! However, you’ll have to wait for their wedding pictures to see these…
